Spiritual Life

The spiritual objective of Heritage Academy is to provide its students, parents, and staff with a Christian environment that is conducive to the Christian growth and maturity of each. Parents, staff and school board members must, therefore, be in agreement with the schools’ statement of faith, with the school’s statement of affiliation, and with its position as a non-denominational school.

Our Four Fold Emphasis is:

  • Knowing God – which will lead to a greater love and reflection of God.
  • Building strong disciples – nurturing the heart’s devotion to God.
  • Equipping with a Christian worldview – training a mind for what matters, helping to build leaders and effective communicators for Christ.
  • Atmosphere – our school culture – unity, family ,honor, service, and grace.

Our desire is to graduate students who:

  • Know, love and reflect God in all areas of life.
  • Are culture-shaping, world-changing, Christians.
  • Are wise and discerning.
  • Are intelligent and capable in their homes, relationships, churches, and occupations.
  • Have some sense of their God-given design, to be kingdom purposed.

Chapel Service

Psalm 78:4 tells us to tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power, and the wonders He has done. Deuteronomy 6:5,6 tell us to love the Lord our God with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. (Deuteronomy 6:5,6)

On Monday, Wednesday and Friday, Heritage Academy is putting these scriptures into practice. Each Chapel time consists of one of the following: a guest speaker, special music, videos, or an object lesson. The purpose of Chapel is that our students be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. (Colossians 2:2,3) Our goal is that our students are challenged, encouraged and equipped by God’s word.
